Louise Norrell

After years of working in a contemporary jewelry store in the small college town of Athens, Georgia, Louise Norrell decided to start her own business called MetalHead Inc. Having gained the necessary experience of learning how a piece should lay and best flatter the wearer, Norrell knew that she was ready to develop, design and market her own hand-crafted work.

Often using molds that she has created, Norrell die forms most of her pieces and adds texture with chasing techniques or a hammer. She prefers to work in white or yellow gold and sterling silver, combining the metals in compelling and detailed designs. "I give my jewelry plenty of texture and detail to captivate the wearer and draw in those who see it."
