Sarah Richardson

Coming from a long line of artisans, it was a natural choice for Sarah Richardson to follow her passion for art. Sarah studied Metalsmithing at Rhode Island School of Design, with further design studies in Germany. Inspired by her family’s history of intricate lace fabrication, Richardson has explored casting vintage cotton lace into precious metals of silver and gold. The cast lace has such pronounced texture and movement that it creates an illusion, by which one is fooled until touching the jewelry to know it is truly metal.
